DonorDirect is excited to celebrate a 19-year partnership with Crown Financial Ministries this year!

Crown Financial Ministries is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, and has a mission of advancing God’s Principles of Stewardship and Life. Their vision is to see believers all over the world committed to managing all that we are, have, and influence for His glory so that lives are transformed, economies flourish, and the Gospel is spread to all nations.

What They Teach

With over 50 Crown locations around the world and over 25 more coming soon, Crown Financial Ministries offers in-person and online courses that focus on six Biblically-based stewardship topics:

  1. Money and Resources (Luke 12:42-43)
  2. Career and Identity (Psalm 139:13-15)
  3. Business and Organizational (Colossians 3:23-24)
  4. Gospel and Discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20)
  5. Generational and Legacy (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
  6. Environmental and Farming (Proverbs 28:19)

Additional Resources

In addition to providing access to their stewardship courses on-location and through church programs, Crown offers online courses for virtual learning. They also share their Crown Radio and Stewardship Podcast programs with listeners around the world and have many resources available for purchase through their Advanced StudioOnline store.

Online visitors also have a wealth of individual resources available at their fingertips. Whether searching for a Christian financial coach, credit counselor, or career consultant or simply exploring the handy financial calculators and starting a debt management plan, Crown offers many powerful resources to help visitors reach their individual stewardship goals.

Crown also has plans to reach more people with redemptive stewardship training through their alliance partners. A Crown Alliance Partner is an organization that develops an on-going training initiative to reach outside their walls to train other people and groups to deliver Redemptive Stewardship teaching. They use Crown materials to minister to people in need. Crown currently has over 100 alliance partners or local leaders, including some of DonorDirect’s other ministry partners, and they include churches, denominations, businesses, ministries, non-profits, schools, and more.

Crown’s annual Gathering event has gone virtual this year and is coming up in early October 2020! The Virtual Gathering Event will be approximately one hour long during which they’ll share inspirational stories of life change, Chuck Bentley (CEO of Crown Financial Ministries) will teach on How to Thrive in the Unexpected, enjoy a video update, and spend time together celebrating the Crown community. The best part is that it’s FREE to attend! You simply need to register in advance.

DonorDirect is delighted to celebrate a 16-year partnership with ABWE International this year!

For over 90 years, ABWE has been serving the church as it obeys the Great Commission. What started in Asia with one missionary grew into a global movement. Today, ABWE helps nearly 500 like-minded, gospel-centered churches equip and send ambassadors for Christ to the ends of the earth.

History

In 1927, lifelong missionary Dr. Raphael Thomas knew that God was planning something great when he came together with a group of colleagues and birthed a new Baptist mission focused on reaching the Far East. Through the steady growth of church planting efforts in the Philippines, what started as the Association of Baptists in the Orient (ABEO) quickly grew into other areas of Asia and beyond. With the sending of their first missionaries to Peru, the growth of their ministry and the start of The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) was underway.

Looking Forward

Over the years, God has grown ABWE from a few missionaries in Asia to more than 1,000 missionaries serving in more than 70 countries around the world. Their missionaries and partners have shared God’s hope with millions of people, built hospitals to bring the gospel to hard-to-reach areas, and helped start and grow thousands of churches. Thanks to God’s grace and the faithfulness of those who came before them, ABWE is continuing to share the story of hope, build communities of faith, and serve the world with love.

ABWE believes that every Christian and every church is called to make disciples of all nations, and they are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission through gospel proclamation, disciple-making, planting healthy churches, and training national leaders.

They are PASSIONATE ABOUT JESUS through their vision to fulfill the Great Commission by multiplying leaders, churches, and missions movements among every people.

They are EXPERIENCED with more than 92 years of sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ with people in more than 70 countries around the world.

They are SERVANTS by working hand-in-hand with more than 1,000 missionaries and more than 500 sending churches to ensure they are supported and equipped to accomplish the great work of the Great Commission.

They are GOOD STEWARDS of the God-given resources that have been entrusted to them, ensuring they are used to make the maximum impact for the kingdom of God.

We are excited to welcome Missions of Hope International (MOHI) to the DonorDirect family as our newest ministry partner! MOHI is celebrating 20-years of ministry this year and has a strong history of educating, empowering, restoring, and redeeming disadvantaged children, families, and communities to transform lives through hope in Christ. They take a holistic ministry approach to help alleviate the conditions of poverty among children and their families by focusing on four primary missions: Education, Empowerment, Health, and Spiritual. 

History 

Founders, Wallace and Mary Kamau, came to know Christ and one another in college. Their shared vision is to serve the needs of orphaned and vulnerable children, so in the year 2000 they began MOHI with a local nursery school for 50 of the most desperate children in the Mathare Valley slums of Nairobi, Kenya. The Kamau’s goal was to not only provide these children with quality education, but also conduct home visits with the families to share Christ’s love and offer guidance for healthier homes. 

Within the next six years, MOHI entered into a formal partnership with Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMF), which launched their child sponsorship program and introduced the program to churches in the United States. Over the last 20 years, their ministry has expanded throughout Kenya and is reaching beyond that area to serve over 25 communities…and growing! To date, MOHI has provided quality education for over 21,000 students and equipped hundreds of parents and adult community members with post-High School skills training. They also treat over 20,000 patients each year in their full-service healthcare center and empower aspiring entrepreneurs within the community through a microfinance loan program. 

Looking Forward 

MOHI is now ready for their next phase of ministry by becoming an independent global organization. Their global headquarters will remain in Kenya and they are currently establishing their new US headquarters in Arizona, where DonorDirect will provide their donor management, CRM, and webstore solutions. Brett Zunino, Director of US Operations, is integral to this next season for MOHI. He shares that “Partnering with DonorDirect will help us unlock the potential of a God-sized dream to reach hundreds of thousands of kids and families in Kenya and around the world!” 

MOHI has some exciting new adventures in store in the near future and DonorDirect is honored to partner with the MOHI team and support them in their mission to grow their programs and expand the reach of their ministry. As best stated by MOHI Founder, Wallace Kamau, “Over the 20 years, we have seen a lot of transformation in these communities and we keep looking unto Jesus to do more for His glory. We thank God for the partners both local and international that He connects us with for the growth of His work.”
